A little like Spring

Hallo Ihr lieben,

auch wenn es ja wieder winterlich werden soll, ich habe ein kleines bisschen Frühling in meine Wohnung geholt... Blumen gehen doch immer, oder? Lila und rosa sind eigentlich nicht meine Farben aber bei der Kombination aus Hyazinthen und Tulpen fand ich die Farben irgendwie doch so toll und in Kombination mit dem Krug erst recht. Und es ist ein kleiner Farbtupfer auf dem Couchtisch. Und natürlich dürfen weiße Tulpen auch nicht fehlen ;)

even if the winter is supposed to return soon I got me a little bit of spring... flower are a must, right? Purple and pink are not my favourite colours but the hyacinths in combination with the tulips just look beautiful and the green mug even more. And it's a little bit of colour on my couch table. And of course there are also white tulips ;)

Welcoming 2013

Hallo Ihr Lieben und ein gutes neues Jahr! Ich hoffe, Ihr seid gut hinein gestartet?

Eigentlich hatte ich vor endlich mal wieder mit ein paar Leuten zu feiern nachdem die letzten Jahre eher ruhig waren. Aber, es kommt ja bekanntlich meist anders als man denkt. Alle Eingeladenen haben abgesagt, also wurde es ein ruhiger Abend mit dem Schatz und meiner Schwester. Das war aber auch sehr schön!

Vor Mitternacht sind wir rechtzeitig losgewandert auf die Rheinbrücke um das Feuerwerk  rundherum sehen zu können - und eine Flasche Sekt war auch dabei. Das Feuerwerk war superschön - wir konnten einen tollen 360 Grad-Rundumblick genießen mit Blick nach Mainz, Wiesbaden und Frankfurt... einfach schön!

Vorher gab es aber erst einmal ein leckeres Silvester-Abendessen. Als Vorspeise gab es Ziegenkäse mit Honigkruste, der Hauptgang waren Medaillons mit Senfkruste und selbstgemachten Kartoffelrösti und als Nachtisch gab es weißes Tiramisu... sooo lecker! So lecker, dass ich gar nicht zum fotografieren kam aber ich denke, ich habe das nicht das letzte Mal gemacht ;) Aber von der Tischdeko habe immerhin Fotos gemacht...

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year! I hope your start into the New Year was good?

Originally I planned to celebrate New Year's Eve with a few friends - the past years were very quiet. But I had to change my plans as everyone invited declined so my boyfriend, my sister and I spent a nice evening together. Which was very nice as well!

Just in time for midnight we walked to the river Rhine to see the fireworks in the city of Mainz, so beautiful! And of course we had a bottle of champagne ;) We could see the fireworks in Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt... just beautiful!

But before we had a great dinner. The appetizer was goat cheese escalloped with honey, the main course was medaillons with mustard crust and hash browns and the desert was white Tiramisu... soooo delicious! So delicious I did not even make one photo but I think it wasn't the last time I cooked that ;) But I took photos of the table...
